A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Jat 11:30 a.m. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kelley (David) Caprio, of Worthington, OH two grandchildren, Lena (Lewis) Raibley, of Brookline, MA and Domenick Caprio, of Columbus, OH three sisters, Shirley Higginson, Ruth Ann (Chuck) Sincavage and Wilda Kocher one brother-in-law, Don (Frances) Strait. He enjoyed woodworking, his computer, photography and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Phil was also a former member of the Hundred Town Council. He was extremely involved in the Hundred Area Pride organization that included the Rails to Trails and other projects for the betterment of the community. Phil was employed with Frontier Communications for 31 years in Hundred and upon his retirement was a Central Office Technician. He attended the Hundred United Methodist Church. In July of 1960 he married Charmaine Strait and they were happily married for almost 60 years. Philip graduated from Cameron High School in 1957. Born at home Jon Wolf Run, Marshall County, WV., to the late Dale and Julia (Whipkey) Lightner.
